Original acrylics · George, South Africa

Painted for the light they bring into a room.

Loose, expressive acrylic paintings — blue-and-white china, lemons and pomegranates, open pastures with sheep and cattle, and the small songbirds that find their way into almost every canvas.

The artist

My artistic path began in 2022 — not through formal art school, but through an intuitive, deep-seated longing to create and seek joy.

For years, my mother had gently encouraged me to draw and paint. When she was diagnosed with cancer, her encouragement became my compass. During the eight precious months we shared before her passing, she watched the very beginnings of my painting journey unfold, witnessing the creative life she had always envisioned for me.

My mother’s name was Joy, and in her honour I named my original studio Painted with Joy. Her memory is woven into every canvas. She often spoke of wishing she could fly free like a bird above the earth, making the small songbirds perched throughout my compositions a loving nod to her spirit — a timeless symbol of hope, freedom, and light.

Working in rich acrylics, my contemporary Impressionist style is defined by luminous light and expressive brushwork. From sun-drenched mountain fields and quiet pastoral pastures to romantic florals and jewel-toned still lifes, my work is created to bring enduring beauty and genuine joy into your home.
